Nextcloud behind Caddy as a reverse proxy, using Docker

Introduction

This is a guide to deploying Nextcloud behind a Caddy reverse proxy, both running in Docker containers (an official Nextcloud one and a caddy-docker-proxy one), with the goal of implementing as much as possible via docker-compose files. This is much more difficult than it should be, for a variety of reasons:

  • As with Docker versions of software in general, documentation of the software does not always apply to the Docker versions, and the Docker documentation does not always include the Docker equivalent ways of doing things.

  • Docker images do not always expose the desired configuration knobs of the underlying software.

  • Nextcloud requires special configuration to run correctly behind a reverse proxy (and again, some of the instructions for this configuration requires modification for

steps to become a linux admin - from reddit

This is what I tell people to do, who ask me "how do I learn to be a Linux sysadmin?"

  1. Set up a KVM hypervisor.
  2. Inside of that KVM hypervisor, install a Spacewalk server. Use CentOS 6 as the distro for all work below. (For bonus points, set up errata importation on the CentOS channels, so you can properly see security update advisory information.)
  3. Create a VM to provide named and dhcpd service to your entire environment. Set up the dhcp daemon to use the Spacewalk server as the pxeboot machine (thus allowing you to use Cobbler to do unattended OS installs). Make sure that every forward zone you create has a reverse zone associated with it. Use something like "internal.virtnet" (but not ".local") as your internal DNS zone.
  4. Use that Spacewalk server to automatically (without touching it) install a new pair of OS instances, with which you will then create a Master/Master pair of LDAP servers. Make sure they register with the Spacewalk server. Do not allow anonymous bind, do not use unencrypted

Mautic API integration tutorial for PHP

Mautic has API to interact with other systems. There is PHP API library for faster integration to PHP projects.

Install Mautic API library with Composer

API library isn't at Packagist in time of writing this article. Good chance is the library is at Packagist in time of reading, so install it from there and skip this.

Install from GitHub repo. So to use the library as Composer package from GitHub repo your composer.json should contain:

Keeping a fork up to date

1. Clone your fork:

git clone git@github.com:YOUR-USERNAME/YOUR-FORKED-REPO.git

2. Add remote from original repository in your forked repository:

cd into/cloned/fork-repo
git remote add upstream git://github.com/ORIGINAL-DEV-USERNAME/REPO-YOU-FORKED-FROM.git
git fetch upstream
