This is my personal setup. Your preferences may differ.

Settings

Kabob menu > Settings

Global Blocking

Select X beside:

Advertising
- uncheck Google IMA (breaks videos: ET Online, PopCulture)
Site Analytics
Customer Interaction
- uncheck PollDaddy (optional)
Social Media
- uncheck Twitter Button (sometimes breaks some embedded tweets)
Essential
Audio/Video Player
Comments
Miscellaneous
CDN
Consent Management
- uncheck Tealium Consent (noted to break many pages by uBO; breaks videos: ET Online)

General Settings

WHOTRACKS.ME

uncheck Show Trackers Preview... (only works on Google search)

HIGHLIGHT INTERACTIVE TRACKERS

check Show me when..
uncheck Allow trackers created by site owners

NOTIFICATIONS

Optional

Unblock tracker only on specific sites

Thanks for all your guides! Can I ask why you picked Ghostery? I love the look of Ghostery through the years, but I see that the majority use Ublock Origin. Personally, I use Adguard (extension w/Firefox) with my Adguard home DNS and NextDNS for our phones when not on the home network. We usually don’t see top contributors use Ghostery, so I’m really curious about your take on it. Thanks again!

Can I ask why you picked Ghostery? I love the look of Ghostery through the years

I always like their brand (their mascot Ghosty).
Their anti-tracking technology / fingerprint protection is nice (original | repost).
- Their algorithms remove user identifiers even if there's not a rule on a blocklist.
- (In the future, that technology + adding custom blocklists would be amazing.)
Ghostery is lightweight and sufficient for iOS Safari. Of course, I wish it had more customization for lists like other blockers, but I'm a power user. Most people just need something simple.

I see that the majority use Ublock Origin.

At least in the privacy community. Idk about total ad blocker usage.
