for PDMF Fall 2017
every day
in fact every single moment is
the end of the world as we know it
On this cold day
in this warm room
with these chairs in a circle
I can say that just some days
it's more obvious than others
what is new about today is that
it's the last time
we will experience this
that is no longer new.
Somewhere the ice that calves off a glacier
slow and relentless
punctuates the the cold quiet
and marks the passing of time
here I wriggle my toes
not having expected to get so much
from so little
here I am with you
a bit more familiar
a little more brave
more held
with a heart
more full than when we started.
I am so glad
I have done this
I am so thankful to have been
here with you
I am so grateful to
be here with you now.
thank you.
