This works for iOS 14.5 beta 8
Does this also activate Atrial Fibrillation feature ?
Works on iOS 14.5 and watchOS 7.4
Works on WatchOS 8 beta
Works on iOS 15 and WatchOS 8.0 If you Algorithm version is not upgrading from V1 to V2 you can enroll to the Apple Heart & Movement Study through the Research App and it will automatically upgrade you ECG version.
I have tested this on iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 15.0.1 and Apple Watch Series 7 (bought in non-ECG-enabled country) running WatchOS 8.1 and it enables the ECG 2.
However, the atrial fibrilation detection does not work for me despite the key in the plist file. It shows the option to set it up, but then it tells me it is not available in my region (I tried to activate it while I had location services disabled).

The fix is to download the Apple Research app and enroll to the Heart program.

You mean the fix for AFD? Do you need to stay enrolled or you can quit it after it is enabled?
This V2 file works for ECG enablement and you can take a manual ECG, however, the continuous background Irregular Rhythm Notifications feature still give a "not supported in your region" warning! Same for the Apple Research app, which you cannot install. I guess there might be other plist files which are likely checking for required keys that are missing for now!
Devices tested:
- iPhone 13 Pro
- Apple Watch Series 7 41mm
OS (latest):
- iOS 15.0.1
- watchOS 8.1
I confirm that. Irregular stays disabled.
