and see error messages like this:

This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: vkkhrdisplay, eglfs, vnc, wayland, xcb, minimalegl, offscreen, minimal, linuxfb, wayland-egl.

Then, use QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1
to find out what is wrong.
$ QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1 asammdf
And you will see what is missing. In my case, it was libxcb-cursor0
so that I installed it via apt
