Telephone Game

The premise of this game is to take turns drawing / writing captions to unfold a story.

Instructions

  1. Assign the players an order by randomly picking or play rock paper scissors
  2. Have the first player draw something on a piece of paper. Make sure the other players don't see the drawing.
  3. You can show the other players some of the samples while they wait their turn.
  4. Once the first player is finished, pass it along to the second player and tell them to write a caption for the drawing.
  5. Once player 2 is finished with the caption, only pass the caption along to player 3 and tell them to draw what they see.
  6. Once player 3 is finished with the drawing, only pass the drawing along to player 4 and tell them to describe what they see.
  7. Repeat this until all the players have gone.
  8. Once everyone has gone, show them the story they have created.

Love this new spin on the telephone game! Might be cool to separate the kids in two groups (and have them start with the same drawing) to see how the stories evolve differently.

Everybody should play at the same time; it makes the game more hectic/fun. Lots of neat-o stories unfold.
