Obsidian Read It Later iOS Shortcut

Description

This is an iOS shortcut that saves any webpage as markdown in Obsidian as a new note. It requires a plugin to trigger Obsidian to open a plugin command to convert the contents of the URL in markdown.

Instructions

This assumes you already have Obsidian on iOS installed and have enabled community plugins.

  1. Install Advanced URI
  2. Install ReadItLater
  3. Enable both plugins
  4. Install the iOS Shortcut: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/4322719227524284b2180ea3e63e7e5c

Usage

In Safari or any other browser on iOS go to any webpage and open the share sheet and choose Save to Obsidian, Obsidian should open and save the article as a new note.
