- time (10' prep + 25' baking)
- 300g baking chocolate
- 150g sugar
- 150g flour
- 100g butter
- 50g oil, hazelnut or walnut (from the original recipe, I keep meaning to try, forgetting, and substituting 50g or so of extra butter instead)
- vanilla extract (or put some vanilla sugar with the sugar)
- 2 eggs
- salt, baking powder, (optionally) pinch of chilli
- 100g dried fruits (usually do varied nuts, but dried raisins or bananas can be nice)
- Preheat oven at 356°F (180°C)
- Cut the chocolate and butter into chunk into a bowl, add a tiny bit of water (so it doesn't burn), melt, whisk gently until homogeneous, add oil (if any);
- In another bowl, whish together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla, until you have an homogeneous, foamy mix; DO NOT ADD FLOUR YET (I often fuck it up)
- Add the chocolate mix, whisk some more.
- Add baking powder, salt, flour, and the optional chilli; whisk until homogeneous
- Chop nuts and fruits very coarsely, add.
- Butter the dish (optional, but the cake won't stick as much to it), pour into
- Bake 25'
- LET IT SIT FOR ONE DAY I never resist having a piece before but it's so much better if you wait
very good ^^
