Tiny animal-like things living in and around
people do many things. Some of these animal-like
things are good for us, others are bad, and, for
many, we do not know anything about them. We want
to know more.
How these small animal-like things look and act
comes from what is written inside them, which we
can only read if it is broken up in pieces. We use
computers to try to put these pieces together and
to understand them so we know why the small animal-like
things act like they do. This means we must change how
our computers act by writing to them.
Usually, what is written inside the small animal-like
things stays almost the same for a long time. However,
sometimes it changes a lot and this can make the small
animal-like things act in a different way. Sometimes,
what is written inside one of small animal-like things
even jumps to another one. This makes the problem harder,
but we want to understand that too.
