PeopleSoft Portal Lead
Position Description
The Portal Lead position will be tasked with requirements gathering, design and development of PeopleSoft Application Portal based solutions. In addition this position will coordinate a cross campus team of developers and designers including leading prioritization discussions, coordinating a shared working lab for portal activities and managing the incoming support requests for portal.
Job Description

Analyze new requirements and existing business applications and processes to recommend and implement system enhancements and/or process improvements.

Develop, test, debug, modify, and document complex systems requiring thorough knowledge of University enterprise applications and business processes with little or no supervision.

Prepare detailed specifications for business applications projects, including development of new applications and customizations to be integrated with existing applications.

Work with the Enterprise Portal and established architectural frameworks to develop and enhance the approach used for software design and analysis using new technologies.

Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve enterprise application issues.

Professional development including increasing knowledge of Higher Education as an industry, development tools and practices and business skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related
- Hands-on experience (4+ years) and expertise using all of the following: HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Experience working with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
- Expertise in analyzing and identifying business process and system issues to quickly identify solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to clearly indicate integration solution designs and implementations.
Position Qualifications
- Knowledge of Web Services: SOAP/REST
- Experience with front end Javascript frameworks such as React, Redux, Elm, Angular, Meteor, etc.
- Understanding of Single Sign On (SSO)
- Strong software and web design skills.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure components (network, storage, servers)
- Ability to participate in rotational on-call support
- Ability to work non-standard work hours as necessary for production support
Ideal Qualifications
- Current, hands-on experience with PeopleSoft development.
- Experience installing enterprise server-side applications
- Experience in Peopletools 8.5x and PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal 9.x
- Knowledge of Portal Modules, Branding, Content Management, Discussion Forums, Pagelet Wizard etc
- Experience in integrating PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications using Integration Broker (IB), Java etc.
- Expertise in SQL and development of complex, well performing queries in the Oracle RDBMS.
- Certifications related to Oracle technologies, especially PeopleSoft
