Wanted: Django Dynamo for topmate.io! πŸš€πŸ

About Topmate.io

Topmate.io is revolutionizing the creator economy! We're the go-to platform for creators and professionals looking to monetize their expertise through 1:1 sessions, webinars, and digital products. Our mission? To empower knowledge-sharers and connect them with eager learners across the globe. If you're excited about building the infrastructure that helps creators thrive, you're in the right place!

Are you a code-slinging Django developer with a knack for building APIs that make front-end devs weep with joy? Do you dream in Python and wake up with brilliant ideas for the next big thing in tech? If you've got up to a year of experience and a portfolio of projects cooler than a penguin's igloo, we want YOU!

The Nitty-Gritty:

  • Experience: Max 1 year (but make it count!)
  • Salary: β‚Ή12 lakhs per annum (ka-ching! πŸ’°)
  • Location: Bengaluru (sorry, no WFH – our office is too awesome to miss!)

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Crafting APIs smoother than butter for the coolest creator economy startup this side of the Milky Way
  • Playing API ping-pong with our front-end wizards and product gurus
  • Reviewing PRs like a code connoisseur (constructive criticism is an art form)
  • Brainstorming new tech ideas until our brains hurt (in a good way)
  • Constantly pondering: "How can we use AI to make Topmate even more mind-blowing?" πŸ€–
  • Dreaming up ways to make our users' experience at Topmate so good they'll write poetry about it
  • Tinkering with cool pet projects when you're not saving the digital world

Technical Skills We're Looking For:

  • Django expertise that would make Django's creators do a double-take
  • Mastery of Django REST Framework for building robust APIs
  • Unit testing skills sharper than a samurai's sword (we love our pytest!)
  • Experience with asynchronous task processing (Celery is our jam)
  • Database optimization wizardry (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Git workflow knowledge that would impress Linus Torvalds himself

You're Our Person If:

  • You've got Django projects that would make Django Reinhardt jealous
  • You contribute to open source (major brownie points! πŸͺ)
  • You're as excited about AI as we are about your potential (more brownie points! 🍫)
  • You think "API" stands for "Absolutely Phenomenal Innovation"
  • You can write test cases that are more thorough than a detective's case file
  • You love tools like codium, github copilot etc.

Perks That'll Make Your Friends Jealous:

  • Advance salary (because why wait?)
  • Unlimited leaves (we're too cool to count)
  • Founders who are more like friends (no stuffy hierarchy here!)
  • Parties so regular you'll forget what "Monday blues" means
  • Health insurance (because we care about your wellbeing, duh!)
  • Latest MacBook Pro (the Rolls Royce of laptops!)

The Fine Print (but still exciting):

We're building something incredible here at Topmate, and we need your Django magic to make it happen. You'll be working in-office because our culture is too awesome to experience through a screen. Get ready to dive into a world where your ideas matter, your code makes a difference, and your job is more fun than a barrel of monkeys coding in Python.

So, if you're ready to join a startup where the only thing more open than our culture is our API documentation, apply now! Slide into our DMs with your resume, a link to your coolest project, and your best tech joke. Bonus points if you can explain RESTful APIs using only emoji.

Let's create something amazing together! πŸš€βœ¨
