Flag Meanings

Pick/Reject/Unflagged

  • Pick = keep for further processing
  • Reject = delete for sure
  • Unflagged = I haven't even looked at it yet

Ratings

  • ★ Duplicate of something great, just in case.
  • ★★ Interesting subject, but not great photographically
  • ★★★ Average images
  • ★★★★ Great images
  • ★★★★★ Absolute best images

Colours

  • Red Primarily of personal value
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Blue Completed Master
  • Purple

Workflow

First Round: Sort

Brand new images; sort by either reject, pick, or color red

Unsorted All

  • Flag is unflagged
  • Label color is none

Unsorted past time period

  • Flag is unflagged
  • Label color is none
  • Created at within last time period

Second Round: Rate

Goal is to rate all unrated photos

Unrated Non-personal

  • Label color is not red
  • Flag is Pick
  • Rating is 0

Unrated Personal

  • Label color is red
  • Rating is 0

Third round: Develop

Develop each photo as appropriate, then label blue for a final master

Develop Non-personal

  • Rating ≥ 3
  • Label color is none

Develop Personal

  • Rating ≥ 3
  • Label color is red

Library

Great Shots

  • Rating ≥ 4
  • Label color is blue

Great Shots, Personal

  • Rating ≥ 4
  • Label color is red

Great Shots, Non-personal

  • Rating ≥ 4
  • Label color is blue
