I'm going to document a list of issues Apple have on this new Macbook Pro. It's all opinion based and I'm pretty happy if you disagree and explain to me how I'm wrong.
- On older versions of macOS there was a delay between typing and the touchpad.
- This means while typing 3-4 times per day I accidentally touch the trackpad causing text to be typed in another part of my editor.
Desired outcome
- Put back the delay of 200-400ms between typing and clicks.
- Open a new email message
- Type an email you have never enetered before
- To: offers and selects autocomplete, even after you have typed different charaters than are in the match.
Desired outcome
- I should always be able to type an email address and press return without worrying autocomplete will select the wrong email address.
- Paste some text in the address bar and press return
- Randomly it will select the text and pause
- Press return again and navigation occurs straight away
Desired outcome
- Pressing Enter always always always starts navigation.
Current Case
- I get a message on my phone and I'm slightly slow at taking it out of my pocket
- I start reading the message
- The screen on my phone locks out automatically via timeout (goes black)
- I press the home button the see my phone screen again
- I log into my phone and can no longer see the notifications screen or read my message
Desired outcome
Two options, maybe someone can think of something better?
-
The Message/Notification -> Black out -> Home button -> Login Cycle could have a large delay and a counter put in after pressing the home button "Keep holding to login, in 3 ... 2 ... 1"
-
The timeout after receiving a message/notification could be made longer.
