A short announcement (not a particularly important one, but it'll save telling everyone individually when I see them):
I'm leaving UCL imminently - after a year or so, it's become fairly clear that I'm really equipped for the demands of a research degree. This isn't a huge disappointment - I've certainly learnt loads while I've been there, and I'm glad I gave it a go, but it's not for me.
The other consequence of this is that I'm going to be looking for work very shortly. I've already got some possible interesting things lined up, but would still be very grateful to hear from anyone who's in need of an experienced programmer / web dev / software engineer who also has reasonable design skills, good maths and stats, and knows a bit about user research. Basically a techy jack-of-all-trades. If you're interested or know anyone who might be, (Freelance or permanent) please point them in my direction: http://timcowlishaw.co.uk/
Cheers everyone.
Tim
