# Template: Module 4 Action Plan
*This is your deliverable from the [Job Search Strategies I session](https://github.com/turingschool/career-development-curriculum/blob/master/module_three/job_search_strategies_i.md)*
## Module 4 Goals | |
*List your longterm goal(s) of what you want to accomplish by the end of module 4*
Develop cold-email and face-to-face networking skills.
Have two job interviews completed by the last day of Mod 4.
### Strategy To Achieve Goals:
In this section, break down your longterm goal into smaller goals that you want to work on each week and/or day
Attend two professional networking events per month.
Send at least two cold-outreach interest e-mails per week to persons from companies of interest.
- Follow up with information interviews as allowed for.
#### Coding (both including your module 4 curriculum and anything outside of it):
*How will you focus your learning to accomplish your longterm goal?*
I will work to focus my learning on becoming proficient with a JS library while taking on challenges
in Ruby and Rails to maintain the compentencies I already have. This will serve my goal by gaining new
skills while maintaining the core competencies I've obtained.
#### Opportunities Research:
*How will you continue researching companies and contacts? How will you utilize your Trello Board?*
I will utilize LinkedIn and BuiltInColorado to identify companies of interest and send cold contact
correspondence. I will use my trello board to keep track of these messages, companies of interest,
and follow-up appointments.
#### Cold Outreach/Network:
*Who will you reach out to? Have you considered talking with alumni about their own networking practices when they started their job search?
I intend to speak with contacts I have made within the Turing community and outside it for advice
and tips for outreach and the job search.
#### Personal Branding *(A personal branding section is optional)*:
*How might personal branding pieces help you towards your goal?*
I think that updating my web site, resume, and LinkedIn profile would be in the best interest
of advertising myself well to potential employers.
### Timeline: | |
*What will you do when?*
Beginning at the end of Module 3, I will send two cold outreach e-mails, at a minimum, per week,
and attend two technical networking events per month as well as one not necessarily technical
networking event but a pertinent event with the potential for making contacts.
#### Module Tasks: | |
*What will you do throughout the module?*
I will continually track my progress on my Trello board as well as follow through with the above commitments.
#### Weekly Tasks: | |
*What will you do throughout each week?*
I will research and earmark companies of interest, send at least two cold outreach e-mails per week, and
track my progress on the Trello board.
## What I Will Work on with Meg
*What advice do you need? What would be helpful to talk through? Let Meg know here!*
I need advice on how to structure cold outreach emails as well as go through informational
interviews. It would be enormously helpful to be able to talk through job search strategies. |
