Question: Tell us about a cybersecurity project or task you've worked on, highlighting any aspects that involved AI or ML.
Answer: I've worked on two cybersecurity projects:
RAT Testing: Testing various Remote Access Trojans (RATs) on different platforms and analyzing their code for features and vulnerabilities.
Emotion Detection using AI: Developing a machine learning model for emotion detection from facial expressions with over 90% accuracy.
Question: Describe a cybersecurity challenge you faced and how you addressed it. How did this experience contribute to your understanding of the field?
Answer: I participated in the IIT Roorkee CTF event and creatively gained root access to a Linux system. This taught me the importance of creativity, understanding system mechanics, and tools/techniques.
Question: If you could leverage AI to solve any cybersecurity problem, what would it be and why?
Answer: Using AI to improve scan/fuzzing tool configurations for more efficient vulnerability detection.
Question: Share a book, course, or workshop you've taken that significantly improved your understanding of AI in cybersecurity. Why was it impactful for you?
Answer: Reading blogs/articles and the Hacker's Playbook series provided valuable insights into AI security and the latest trends.
Question: Have you worked with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection systems (IDS), or any other specific cybersecurity tools or techniques? Describe that experience.
Answer: I've used Kali Linux tools like Wireshark and Burp Suite for network analysis and have experience with SIEM tools like Splunk and ELK for security log analysis.
Question: What excites you most about joining our team as a Cybersecurity AI Enabler Intern and contributing to our cybersecurity initiatives?
Answer: I'm excited about working on cutting-edge AI security projects, learning from experienced professionals, and contributing to the organization's security.
Question: What is the hardest challenge that you faced in life? How did you go about it?
Answer: My third year of undergraduate engineering has been challenging, and I cope by staying positive, seeking help, and working hard to achieve my goals.
Question: Can you describe a time when you had to implement a novel security measure to protect sensitive information?
Answer: While working on a project, I implemented a novel security measure by creating an .env.example file to prevent sensitive data leakage on GitHub.
Question: What interpersonal or technical skills do you bring to a team?
Answer: Interpersonal: Good communicator, team player, problem-solver, and natural leader. Technical: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, programming languages, networking tools, and cloud platforms.
Question: What is one thing in your life that you are grateful for?
Answer: I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow as a cybersecurity engineer and for the support of my family and friends.
