Sydney CBD

  • St. James to Opera House: Walk through Botanic Gardens, visit Mrs. Macquarie's Chair.
  • Central station to Circular Quay: Walk through George St.
  • Sights: QVB, Pitt St Mall, and The Rocks area.

Food

Cultural Hubs

  • Chatswood: Japanese influence.
  • Burwood: Vibrant and diverse.
  • Regent Place: Mini Japan Town.
  • Chinatown: Southern part of CBD recommended.
  • Cabramatta: Vietnamese hub.
    • Cabramatta is quite far and might not be worth the trip due to limited time.
  • Harris Park: Indian hub.

Beaches

  • Bondi Beach: Iconic, not overrated.
    • Bondi to Coogee Coastal walk
  • Kensington Area: Close to Bondi, Maroubra, Coogee.
  • Manly Wormhole
  • Watson's Bay: Access by bus or car; visit Camp Cove Beach, Hornby Lighthouse, and The Gap.
  • Royal National Park > Wattamolla beach: Ocean-lake meeting point, cliff jumping (unofficial).

Inner West and Inner City

  • Areas: Young professional, bougie areas with coffee, breweries, cafes.
  • Must-Visit: Darlinghurst, Surry Hills, Glebe Tramsheds, Marrickville, Newtown.

Surry Hills

Darlinghurst and Potts Point

  • Features: Bougie suburb with startup offices, cafes.
  • Nightlife: Declined in Kings Cross, now a cafe district.
