# 140 characters is not enough to express a thought
Even if I tweeted `140 characters is not enough to express a thought` people wouldn't know what I mean.
What I mean is thoughts need some explanation to be meaningful.
### 140 characters is just enough to say something and have it be translated into something you
don't mean
I think this makes twitter fertile soil for making people taking things you say the wrong way or out
of context. When we are over that 140 character limit we start to take out phrases like `I think` or
`It would be interesting to try`, we remove the stuff that makes us not sound like a jerk.
# Question Everything
Chances are good you don't know everything.
If you think a person (or something they do) is wrong or stupid, you probably don't know the whole story.
Avoid putting people into groups, you miss a lot of details that way, treat everyone as an individual.
That includes yourself.
Making assumptions is a necessity of life, but avoid making assumptions about other people.
Chances are good you are wrong about something you think you're right about.
Question everything. Introspection allows you to understand yourself, understanding yourself
leads to peace and happiness.
