Privacy Policy

Last updated and effective: June 07, 2023

This document entails the Privacy Policy and Agreement that you (the "User") accept when making use of any of the Services listed below, which includes adding any of the Discord Bots (the "Bots") to a Discord Server, as well as being a member of a Discord Server running any of the Services. This document does not supersede Discord's Developer Terms of Service.

Services

The following is a list of Discord Bots to which this Privacy Policy applies:

Terminology

  • Bots - Any of the Discord Bots which this Privacy Policy applies to, which are listed above.
  • Services - Any Bots and sites which this Privacy Policy applies to, which are listed above.
  • Server - A Discord Server which is making use of any of the Services.
  • Server Manager - Anyone who has the ability to add any of the Bots to the Server, or configure the Bots for the Server. This is usually an Administrator or a Moderator.
  • Server Member - Anyone who is a member of a Server to which one of the Bots has been added.
  • Service User - Anyone who authorizes an application (logs in) for a scope which provides additional information.
  • User - Anyone who is either a Server Manager, Server Member or a Service User.

Data Collected

The data that is collected is usually collected by the means of commands or other interactions between the User and the Services, and a lot of the data is normally stored in cache-only while the Services are running. The following items may be collected and stored, and is usually intentionally provided by the User for the functionality of the Services:

  • Discord ID's, usernames, nicknames, e-mail addresses and any other data used for identification, which may be personal identifying information.
  • Archives of chat messages, which is usually for moderation purposes only.
  • Any other data necessary for the standard operation of the Services, which is usually not tied to a specific user, such as server configurations and event data.

When providing data, you forgo any rights to the content of the data provided. Any data collected is necessary for the Services that collect this data. The usage of the data may be used for analytical purposes, which mainly helps to ensure the security and functionality of the provided Services.

Data Storage

All stored data is kept on protected virtual private servers (VPS), and copies of this data might be made for backup purposes and testing. While storage methods may vary, most data is kept within password-protected databases such as MySQL. Please keep in mind that even with these protections, no data can ever be 100% secure. All efforts are taken to keep your data secure and private, but its absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Feedback

Feedback on any and all provided bots and services is appreciated. When you submit comments, suggestions, bug reports, and any other forms of feedback, you forgo any rights to the content, title, or intent of the provided feedback. Additionally, the feedback may be utilized in any way.

Data Sharing and Third-Parties

Other than to Discord Inc., no data collected through the use of the Services will ever be shared with third-parties for any reason. We may however disclose and/or remove data in response to a legal or a law enforcement request.

Agreement

By adding any of the Bots to your server or using these Bots or Services in any way, you are consenting to the policies outlined in this document. In addition, you (the "Server Manager") are agreeing to inform your Server Members of Discord's Developer Terms of Service as well as the contents of this document.

If you (the "Server Manager"), do not agree to this document, you may remove the Bots from the Server. If you (the "Server Member"), do not agree to this document, you may leave the Server that hosts the Bots. If you (the "Service User"), do not agree to this document, you may revoke authorization of the application(s) in your 'Authorized Apps' menu.

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who wish to access or use the Service.

Content

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for the Content that you post on or through the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

By posting Content on or through the Service, You represent and warrant that: (i) the Content is yours (you own it) and/or you have the right to use it and the right to grant us the rights and license as provided in these Terms, and (ii) that the posting of your Content on or through the Service does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person or entity. We reserve the right to terminate the account of anyone found to be infringing on a copyright.

You retain any and all of your rights to any Content you submit, post or display on or through the Service and you are responsible for protecting those rights. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for Content you or any third party posts on or through the Service. However, by posting Content using the Service you grant us the right and license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content on and through the Service. You agree that this license includes the right for us to make your Content available to other users of the Service, who may also use your Content subject to these Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service.

Limitation Of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time.
